Sienna Miller admits she accidentally flooded David Bowie’s New York apartment

Sienna Miller revealed her close ties to legendary late musician David Bowie during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.

The 40-year-old actress admitted her mother worked as an assistant years ago, and although she never met the iconic rock star, she managed to make an impact on the Space Oddity singer, ne if only for an awkward moment.

Miller remembers living in the same apartment building as Bowie early in his career and throwing a party, only for his bathroom to flood, which also caused his apartment to overflow with water.

“Is that true, all the years I’ve known you – did your mum work for David Bowie?” Drew asked a shocked Sienna.

“Yeah, I know…he’s everybody’s number one. I don’t think there will ever be a cooler, better, more talented, original human. He’s amazing and I’ve never met him,” she said. I wonder what’s the point if you had this, mom, it was before I was born, unfortunately.

“She used to tell these stories about how she’d like to bring him coffee in the morning, she was his assistant and he was kind of playing, I don’t know, something on the piano and like, ‘Jo, that’ do you think about this”, you know, imagine having this.

Miller remembers moving into the same building as Bowie when she was working on her first play.

Drew tried to make Sienna feel at least a little better about the revelation: “I’m sure David saw some things in his time, he’s probably not that surprised.”

Sienna agreed, “Actually, it’s true, it flooded people’s bathrooms.”
